I wanted to bring attention to the new links I posted on the right side of the page. Here is some information about these links:
- Suze Orman - Suze is a world-renowned financial advisor. I highly recommend her books and television show, which airs on CNBC every Saturday night at 9:00PM EST.
- FatWallet Finance - This is an online forum dedicated to topics related to finance. It has a ton of great content and alot of useful information.
- Free Credit Reports - In 2005, the U.S. Government established a program to provide one free credit report from each of the three credit bureaus, each year. This website will give you access to the program, so you have no excuse not to check your credit report up to three times a year.
- My FICO - This website allows you to purchase and view your FICO score for one or more of the credit bureaus. Your FICO score is what is used by banks to determine if they should loan you money, and if so, what interest rate to lend it at. The cost to purchase this score is cheap and should be done at least once a year.

Given the sorry state of financial knowledge in this country, I have decided to dedicate this site to education on all of the topics that comprise “personal finance.” I will cover issues ranging from becoming debt free to how to invest for retirement. Some other topics I will discuss are:
- Real Estate
- Budgeting
- Saving
- Taxes
- Insurance
- Investing
To do this, I will write posts that cover specific topics. I will also post links to other websites and articles that are relevant to personal finance. Last, but most important, I will take and respond to anonymous questions from readers. Please, check back shortly for the first set of content.
